A NEW VERSION FOR THE A.R.I.’s COMBINATION AIR VALVE FOR SEWAGE

D-023 NS Combination Air Valve for Sewage Systems

A.R.I.’s D-023 Model combination air valve for made of 316 Stainless Steel, designed to enable resistance to highly abrasive conditions and survival in environments with corrosive and abrasive liquids such as sand, sludge, industrial and sanitary wastewater, brine and seawater. When assembled on a controlled air release valve mechanism (NS), it becomes a hammer-reducing valve and prevents slam (D-023 NS).

This valve integrates a kinetic air valve, automatic air valve and (normally closed) check valve installed at its air release opening. The combination D-023 NS valve, which releases air during filling of the system, also enables the introduction of air when the system is emptying of liquids and releases trapped air when the system is under pressure.

The valve protects system components from water hammer in the piping in conditions of separation of water head or rapid filling of the line with liquid.

Uses
• Collector line systems in which conditions of water hammer and slam are anticipated
• High points in lines with high gradients.
• Points at which water head separation is created.

Design specifications
• The valve is manufactured with 3” and 4” connection.
• Working pressure: 250 psi, minimum sealing pressures of 3 psi .
• Stainless steel body, cover, float and interior components.
• Sealing Mechanism made of corrosion-resistant composite materials
• Adjustable Non-Slam Air Discharge Flow Rate

We are proud to present our latest standard improvement:

The Nylon cover for the
D-020 Combination Air Valve for Sewage

The advantages of the new cover are:
1. Better resistance to corrosion.
2. Lightweight – less freight costs. Easier to install.
3. The same material as the upper part of the valve: the D-040 Air Valve.
4. Cover and base casted together, no leaks between cover and mechanism.

RP 500
BACK FLOW PREVENTER
MADE OF COMPOSITE PLASTIC MATERIALS

THE NEW A.R.I BACK FLOW PREVENTER , WITH REDUCE PRESSURE ZONE, Designed to provide the best protection against back flow caused by negative or opposite pressure, as well as durability. Back flow may cause infiltration of chemicals , fertilizers and/or other pollutants into drinking water systems.
The RP 500 is reliable and easily maintained, and does not require special tools.
The RP 500 has two independent, easily replaceable, spring check valves in capsules.

Function:
At normal flow, the two check valves are open, supplying water down stream. The relief valve is kept closed by a diaphragm, activated by upstream pressure, through the internal control system. The pressure in the area between the two check valves is about 0.43 BAR lower than the water supply pressure.
When negative pressure or sub-atmospheric conditions occur, the check valves close, preventing back flow.
If the second check valve fails, the pressure between the two check valves rises, causing the opening of the relief valve, and releasing the water to the atmosphere.

Drinking Water Certification (ANSI/NSF Standard 61) for A.R.I. Air Valves

A.R.I.’s air valves (Models: D-040 , S-050, D-040-C, K-060 HF, K-060 HF NS) were officially certified for use in drinking water systems.

The NSF Standards are extremely stringent, and are required by the municipalities, in the United States.
This certification joins the WRAS certification of the British standards for drinking water accessories, which was issued for all A.R.I. air valves.
